A friend of mine in Romania, Adrian Schiopu, has sent me some information which I am quite excited about. Let him tell you more about it:

“The 1st gathering of Christian drummers in Romania, 29th of March!

After “meeting online” since August 2006, on my yahoo group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/tobaricrestini , the time has come for us to also be able to meet live in Timisoara; the gathering will take place in my church, House of Worship (where I also serve as the praise & worship leader) on a Saturday, all day, and also we will have a worship service on Sunday morning with about 5 drum sets and other percussion stuff.

Beside the fun of playing together and just meeting other drummers for fellowship, we will also talk about the importance of being a worshiper; for too long the drummer, but in general the musicians, were considered less important and less spiritual compared with the singers in front; but we understand that every beat of the drum can help the team, bless the church, be a praise offering to God, or… just make some noise.” — Adrian Schiopu
