Bill SargentI often scour the Net for other Christian drummers or Christian drumming groups. Every now and then I find someone who just seems to be powering! I am always so encouraged when I find these individuals, I feel like calling them up and having a good chat!

I found this ‘chapter’ of Drummers for Jesus in Wisconsin, USA. I loved reading through the different things they’ve been involved in and going through loads of photos showing so many people with drums and percussion coming together under God and with my favourite instrument!

Bill Sargent oversees this ‘Drummers for Jesus’ Chapter (group) and I highly recommend fellow drummers from anywhere in the world to check it out!

Drummer For Christ

Drummer for Christ is a web site for every Christian drummer who wants to share their hearts, thoughts, ideas and experiences with other Christian drummers for the extension of God’s kingdom. Featuring videos, MP3 downloads, a forum and many various events throughout Malaysia – it is clear to see that things are happening in the East!

The site consists of various drummer profiles, discussing setups and views but also providing insight into the mind of drummers who worship God with their gifts. I found it very interesting to read through the various member profiles while going through the forum and realising that I am not alone in what I feel as a drummer in church.

The whole focus of the site and the purpose of Drummer for Christ is : “All for God’s glory”. A noble and worthy ambition and I commend Vince Seah and company for taking on such a worthwhile venture in joining up with Christian drummers not just in Malaysia but worldwide.

I thought I would put up the post to the web site as I also have an interview with Vince Seah from Drummer for Christ this month, so the two go together! Read the interview here >>

Waywood logoI came across the Waywood site a while ago and was pleasantly surprised to find content that just seemed to make a lot of sense! It was real, practical advice that I would have lavished as an amateur drummer and, the best part, it was all free! Wow, why would someone put up all this information for free? I don’t know, but they just did! Continue reading »
